How to Make a Small Boy Very Happy
Torslanda:
'S easy. You just buy him a new bike!
It's William's birthday. 10's a big one, double digits . . . Have you ever opened a Mongoose box?
The first thing you see is this . . .
Along the edge of the outline is printed 'do not use on the customer!' They obviously know their market.
William didn't know he was getting this
or this
One very happy 10 year old
Going for a ride on Sunday.
Zoidburg:
I thought the thread title was a question so I was about to say "give him an air rifle"
But sadly we don't live in the age of lawn darts and action man nazi storm troopers anymore so it might considered a bit non-PC to arm your children.
A shiny new bike will have to do
Or a pen knife.
Torslanda:
The younger one pictured has his birthday in August.
He'll be 4, do you think you could find him something suitable with stabilisers at the project?
If you can, let me know and I'll run down and see you one weekend.
Zoidburg:
Will have a look tuesday when I go in, I only do a few days or so here and there.
Is he a big 4 or small 4?
I find that 4/5 to be that difficult age to size them for bike, they are too big for the toy bikes but not quite big enough for something with a chain and a full set of brakes, stabilisers are a bit of a non starter, take the pedals off, even going so far as pulling the chain set and BB and then let them learn to scoot and balance.
Also consider a like-a-bike/balance bike depending on how weeny he is, maybe even a tagalong.
Torslanda:
He'll be a big 4 without a doubt.
Built like a brick ****house ;D
'Likeabike' would be good if you have one - I'm skint after buying that Mongoose!
