Yes.  I've had that shouted at me from white vans etc.   ::-)

I've never watched that particular program, so when Didge (of a previous parish) called me Basil Armstrong on a couple of occasions, I thought he was being complimentary.  :smug:
Until he sent me that very same link.

Now you can all see a glorious sample of Warwickshire countryside (ignore that guy on the bike), as used for the annual MacRide - just go to  MacRide - for Macmillan Cancer Support  - next one is Sunday 12 Sept 2010.

Seriously, Basil and about 836 other riders helped us to raise about £30,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support - not bad for a one-day event.

I was educated in Essex ... at (the no longer in existence) Buckhurst Hill County High School (in Chigwell) and then lived in various Essex locations until I escaped in 1986.

I was educated in Essex also, first in the long gone St Leonards School Southminster, and then in Chelmsford Technical High School Chelmsford.

I have always found Essex to be an education.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I shall resist the temptation to big up mid-Essex.  One of it's many joys is being relatively empty so please carry on avoiding it  ;D
