Sainsbury's have Empire apples in stock.  Food miles, I know, but they're the only apples I like.

Maybe we should have an "All my work colleagues are bastards because..." thread?

My mate Mike is nearly 1 hour into a kidney transplant operation. He has been on the waiting list for nearly 6 years now. *Crossing everything*

Mike's transplant operation went well according to the Ward nurse, so we can see him today.

I found my passport!  Now I can stop panicking about making it to Dublin tomorrow.  And to top it off — I have enough € to get me in to town where reimbursement for for my travel expenses will be ready for me to collect, in cash, so no need to exchange money.   :)

That's two good things.  I can but hope for a third — the person coming around tonight to look at the Spec Sirrus I'm selling decides he wants it.

Assuming you're in the UK at present, you don't need a passport for the Irish Republic.  But that might only apply to UK and Eire citizens.

I'm in the UK, but fairly certain that the 'no passport needed' applies only to UK and IE citizens (I am neither).  Don't think I'd get very far on an Ohio driver license.

You could drive all the way across Ohio.

HTH.

:-D

At one time it would be enough to get me across the border into Canada or Mexico but, IIRC, passports are now required.  At least they don't check IDs when crossing state borders. Yet.

The strip each week would go something like this:

Got my bike out. Rah!

The bike has a puncture. Boo!

But I have a repair kit. Rah!

Some fucker has had my pump. Boo!

Found out who'd had it and gave him beatings.  Rah!

Police then took my fingerprints and swabbed my mouth. Boo!

And so forth.
