My next outing probably won't be until the 2nd September  :(

Try to contain your jubilation.

 Ted's not around so we're having a party bring your vodka and your ch*rlie........

Is that your polite way of saying that we are too slow for you even at moderate pace ?  Your new friends at Maldon CC will be most impressed I am sure but they won't throw beer at you or rip the piss in quite the way that we do

You'll be back come winter when all the shiny bikes are put away and everyone's on their turbos except the mighty MEMWNS peloton on their steel steeds.

Not at all I was mightily impressed to see the PB's you all acheived whilst chasing the one man break away  :-*

DL.  You are an inspiration to us all   Our loss is Maldon CC Junior Section's gain.

AndyC33 is looking forward to following you round Tomsk's 600.  He is not going to use his Brompton but is happy if you still want to use yours, in fact he insists.  He thought you might try and worm your way out of riding it but I assured him that you would never do that to him.

I didn't doubt that for a minute, anything to help out my chums  O:-) Junior section I wish  :P

There's a slight logistical problem with that in that I will be undertaking London 2 Paris in 24 hours (on the Brompton) on this particular date  ::-) If I did do it I could always ask the chap from MADCC who has the penny farthing if I could borrow it for the 600k's!

I'll leave you to break that to AndyC33.  He's looking for a new wingman, someone a bit faster than me ideally.

Maybe Tippers will arrange another breakfast ride and we can all do that at some point in August to make up for lack of Wednesdays.

I heard that he hasn't ever got over #bussheltergate  :o

Will it be another duathlon or just a bike ride this time?

I'm sure Oaky's got a script for predicting exactly when the page will turn to #300  ;D

If I'm on the train or a boring conference call I sometimes pick a page randomly from this thread and have a read. It's amazing what you forget. It's also amazing how much fun we've had, not just on the road but the on-line banter as well.

I was just logging in to ask the same question.  I'm planning on being out barring work interruptions.
East or West this week?

The Viper is not a bad shout, not been there for a while.  Also The Three Elms at Chignal St James is a possibility if a certain Mr T has plans to visit there before the weekend to collect some homemade bar snacks for the Flitchbikes Audax rides on Saturday.
Maybe even a swift one in The Viper and move on to The 3 Elms for another or couple, in the spirit of more miles than beers?
Got lights on the bumblebee yet, DL??

EDIT: Reading back through recent posts, Tomsk already ruled himself out this week in some very advanced planning.

I had seen that Mr T had already stated his unattendance this week, and no The Hornet still has no front light and sadly don't think it will do other than helmet mounted as per last week (which aren't that great when travelling at speed!  ::-) )

I may be mistaken but I have a feeling OD may have posted a route to The Viper on here somewhere however we didn't end up riding it in the end!?

I may have been absent that week, the last time I have a recorded route to The Viper is just over a year ago:

A proposed route to The Viper for the Witham peloton: CLICKY.

This is the one OD posted up from back in Feb not too dissimilar to yours, we didn't end up riding there in the end as it turned out to only be myself, Andy and Tomsk in the end

Yes this would be good although it is going to have to be September (or maybe the very last Saturday in August) as i am off to Centreparcs in Belgium after PBP.

I was having a RUBBISH Monday but then a big box came from Wiggle.....enough to cheer anyone up. Lots of bits for the Genesis....the wheels should be with me in the next couple of days so I might potentially have the bike ready to go for Saturday....if I can work around all the bits of new kitchen that have taken over my Mancave!

In that case you are falling foul of section 3 of the Trade Description Act 1968 by describing said area as a "Mancave".

Until you sort your life out and get rid of the kitchen items it is a "utility room".

Greetings from Kefalonia!  I've swapped my Man Cave for an infinity pool ...

I'm sure Ted will be popping up to provide us with some legal spiel on why that can't technically be classed as a infinity pool.......  :demon:
