Completely off thread - I must drop into the Romany Rye (Dereham Wetherspoons) and see what it's like before the next edition of the Green and Yellow Fields, may even meet someone famous and they stay open after 9pm.

I hope to be out this Wednesday

QH sounds good, we could find out why it won pub of the year?

I tried phoning them earlier, no answer!

Just makes you think, the Pubs that didn't make pub of the year must be really bad, eh?

The mists clear...

Just got through to the QH on the phone.  At the moment they close 8ish Monday to Wednesday.  After Easter they will be staying open to 11ish.

So Plan B?  What do we think?

That is a bit rubbish, amateurs...
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

You really do have to stop serving cider at 8pm on Monday to Wednesday!

Finally a negative test!

Took the Brompton out to the bank and back today. Coughing well as a result!  Not sure I'll be out tomorrow night after all.

PS - I think there is a return of the Easter Beer festival at The Woolpack suspect it has a new owner! I'll see if they have the usual Camra Wed night preview on ???

I always thought that cider smelt the same at the input and output stages of processing in the human body. As a Norfolk person, Bulmers smells absolutely awful and I have never tried it.

Tomorrow: Chelmo, or Witham as per OD's suggestion? And an Adamski-friendly north-eastern venue on 13th?

I vote for Witham, we never do Shitham on a Wednesday!

Sadly I will not be out - in Birmingham for work and probably will go for beers afterwards. You will need to wait some more before you meet Bill

So the roster for this evening...

1. OD
2. Tomsk
3. Grey Sheep
4. Andy C33333333333333333333333333333
5. BFC?

Who have I missed?  Anyone else interested?

You'll note I am putting some effort in as I'm excited I can actually make this evening as I'm not in some far flung corner of England!

Might I make a suggestion...?

Why don't we meet at The Roundabout of Renewed Acquaintances head off up TMNH, scoop up GS, pop into The Cats to say "Hello" to Wally, then carry on back to Shitham to spend the rest of the evening in a Witham pub yet to be decided?

Right, let's give the plan a go.

My fellow Elder, huggy, is having a wobbly moment about TMNH and the quality of Wally's beer but if he turns up let's sweep him along on a wave of enthusiasm

How about a diversion to the Hurdlemakers?
More of a selection of beers, and maybe easterly enough to tempt "The Islander" from his Shed?

No problem, I'm sure huggy will approve.  We can always stay there and forgo the Shitham pubs.  Let's be dynamic and flexible

19:30 at the roundabout.

We may have to make a decision on destination to let Tomsk know which way to head.

Hurdlemakers?  Then we can be dynamic and flexible from there?

This route goes past The Generals Arms or end of GS's road at about 8:30 (allowing for puffing up there)
Unless he is not hanging around for us to scoop him up.
