There's competition out there and some are easy and some are hard. Someone in my club has decided they want top spot in a certain audax result and I've decided to chase it down. Anyway there ain't much debate about the competition top spot so I thought it deserved a topic as I'm losing and  gonna kick it this season. (No 600km will be involved)

I love the fact that someone has taken over me in one of many many competitions amongst the audax competitions as it stands though what I like about it is that I want to go out and do more for such a silly result.

I don't want to mention what club it is for fear of getting bombarded with my club doing audax 3 times a week ha ha ha ha

At the end of the day audax is fun and having competiotion makes it more fun, even if your the loser to the 2nd spot 3rd spot or last. :)

Even getting myself  in the audax handbook years ago gave me so much joy as I was the winner :)

It starts with friendly rivalry.

The next thing you know, you're sleeping in a ditch every weekend, have spent 25% of your income on ginsters pasties and jibber to yourself that the points trophy is your "precious".

I think some people are so competitive that they have to make everything into a competition

Personally I find this baffling but hey

Everyone's a winner on an Audax  ;D

We have a club 'mile-eater' award that is normally based on audax points and any silly long rides/tours - as I'm the only member aiming for pbp this year, it will probably be the first thing I ever win ever.
