What to look for buying a mosquito net?
« on: 30 March, 2013, 02:00:02 pm »
Have never used a mosquito net before, normally been happy inside the tent. But this year we are going to Denmark and see a lot of campsites have wooden shelters for sleeping.
So I would like to have a net that could either be put over the entrance or over sleeping bag. Size and weight are the main issue. Any recommendations?

box type have worked best for me so far but lifessystems have a dome  net that might also work. as a tent with a poncho rainfly. IME wedge and umbrella designs means feet / legs get  bitten

Depends on what sort of insects you are expecting, but worth checking how fine the mesh is. ie if its designed to stop mosquitoes, it may still let midgies through.
