Edit: But - anyone up for a western venue?

Much as I fancy a beer and a catch up with you all, -5 and just over Covid doesn’t sound sensible.  Hope to see you Saturday though for the delights of a seaside excursion and a balmy 7c.

Going soft in old age :-\

Have you always been in old age then?  ;D

Edit: But - anyone up for a western venue?

Tempted, but I'm going to be sensible. Will see most people on Saturday.

Oh no!  Just done a quick Google and it says Wally (Hicks) had been the landlord since 1980.

Anyone out on Wednesday? Forecast is looking like clear(ish) skies, a day short of the full moon and not too windy or cold. I might actually be well enough to ride by then!

I #might# have a pass to be a-wheel this week and next day is looking to be a work from home day at the moment.  Somewhere west or central might work for me.

MrsC is working a night shift tomorrow, so I won’t be out unfortunately.

I'm 50/50 but need some exercise - so may be tempted with a walk to 'dev but I have a very long day the following day, so the wise choice would be to not go out for beers....

Things haven’t gone to plan today.  Tomorrow is now looking very busy and long.  I’m unlikely to be out.

Yes, so it seems. I wonder if a change of strategy is required?  Maybe an Elders plus invited guests meeting?

I'm hoping it all picks up when we start to see the move towards lighter nights and less inclement weather.

Went out for 20 mile spin last night anyway, to enjoy the moonlight and mackerel clouds.

I'm planning on dusting off J.ACME and rolling around the Knights Templar route check this Saturday. I should have recovered sufficiently for a return visit to the SH by Wednesday.

I did mean this coming Saturday.
Snotty wants to join me, anyone else is welcome too to check the roads are still there. Planning on leaving Witham at 9:30. If more than me & Snotty there will be a 'spoons breakie.
Lunchtime-ish stamping duties at the SH on the 10th Feb would be appreciated.

Okay, there will be a 'spoons breakie on offer to KTC route checkers in the morning. I will probably be there between 8 and 8:30 with an intended departure time of 9:30.
No upper speed records will be broken, quite possibly a lower speed record will be.

If anyone is going to the SH tomorrow night, what time are you arriving? I was aiming to get there for 8.

The rear tyre on the J.ack is a write off, so I'll be on fixed, aiming for an 8pm arrival I think...

I can’t make this evening I’m afraid. However…

Be careful at the junction of Littley Green Road and Church Lane. Tractors have been exiting the adjacent field and spread extremely slippery mud on the road. I came off on Monday afternoon returning from The Compasses. And a lady was in the process of being carted off by a chap in a car at the same time. She’d crashed at speed, badly injured her shoulder.
