Steve's got a bike, he can ride where he likes,
It's got some mudguards, some tri-bars
And things to make it go far.
I'd give it to you if I could, but he's using it.

.... it's a Good Bike.

And here's to its Rider!

Does he have a cloak that's bit of a joke?
Does he have a clan of gingerbread men?

Are you the type of girl that fits in with his world?

The MGAS may wish to be informed that an anagram of Marsh Gibbon is

So Mr Ab b nigh.

Another anagram is Mash Robbing - so perhaps he goes there for a secret carb boost.

I wish to submit a claim for a Marsh Gibbon yesterday, halfway point on a 200k DIY from home, route checking the Quainton Express:

Very disappointed to discover The Plough in MG was shut around 1pm on a Saturday - the place has gone down in my expectations.

It would be (slightly) interesting to know to what extent Marsh Gibbons' residents are aware of its emerging status as a cult location.

When I was there on Wednesday at 09:00, there were two ladies walking their dogs, a police car and a van from a local builder's merchant.

All else was quiet.

I slowed down through the village, as the policemen in their car might have been patrolling for 'Wanton and Furious cyclists'.

For those who are after more analysis, Steve has averaged 296.5 mpMG (miles per Marsh Gibbon) as of last night

I'm not a great fan of Messrs Garden, Oddie and Brooke-Taylor's 70s antics, but, what with Steve's PBP adventures on a triplet, his Ecky Thump sausage enthusiasm, his daily The Ballad of the Premier OK Tea Rooms tomato sauce showdown and of course his funky Marsh Gibbon visits I just had to make the following...

Each tomato sauce dispenser's radius represents his distance from Marsh Gibbon over a 24 hour period with midnight at the top of each (so the four green petals represent 3am, 9am, 3pm and 9pm clockwise from top-right). A classic 'double Gibbon' can be seen on Jan 9th, an early morning single Gibbon on Feb 21st and a rare quad-Gibbon on Jan 1st.

I wonder if the the MG Women's Institute could arrange to have these printed on a commemorative tea towel.

Excellent work, Jo! One small point of botanical pedantry - I think m'learned friend will find that the green bits are actually sepals rather than petals.

Excellent! On Jan 21 looks like Steve was in a mischievous mood sticking his tongue out to his followers!
That's what the shape for that day interpreted as a head looks like!

Updated with today's Gibbon making it two Gibbon weekend.

I won't be updating this daily, but perhaps another one at the end of the month. And I am quite tempted by taking advantage of this.

Aren't there five sepals on a tomato in reality, if we're playing pedant?

Am I being thick? If the top of the tomato is midnight, then surely the petals/sepals as shown are actually at 1:30, 4:30, 7:30 and 10:30. ???
