Wednesday night this week is The Hoop... it's also Clown Bike week!  Steve is coming on Penelope I understand and I shall be astride Black Bess... I know there are some other 'interesting bikes' in our fold.... Wednesday night might be the night to air them....

If I make it out, I could dig out the Foldie-Fixie.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

Am I?  How are you at handling disappointment?

We had this convo - all downhill to Chelmsford station from Stock!

RwGPS has helped me put together THIS FUN LOOKING ROUTE which the Witham peloton might enjoy on Wednesday evening.

BN - it goes up TMNH
GN - we can stop at Boss Hogg's on the way home
Q - RwGPS seems to think its possible to take the track around the western edge of Hanningfield Reservoir, part of the track is across a causeway or dam wall.  The OS shows the track but doesn't list it as a right of way.  Does anyone have local knowledge as to whether it's rideable?  Obvs, its not entirely legal but it'll be dark and we won't be doing any harm.

Do you mean the path that ends with this gate? If so, I would say give it a go ... what could go wrong  ;D

Using my local knowledge I'd say we can divert either side of the gated track, however a snorkel, aqualung, arm bands, and/or a lifejacket might be useful extras to pack in our saddlebags.

I don't know about the newfangled models many of you seem to be showing off these days but my Garmin has a (wo)man overboard feature which I've never had the chance to use.

You could always give Pynnings Farm Lane / Seamans Lane a go - I think there are a couple of gates which open to navigate.

I already know the Beer Bitch can’t make it this evening, which is a shame as I have something for him, who is planning to be at the Spa Road roundabout?

I intend to join the peloton at Spa Rd tonight, unless it is very wet, when I'll join at the top of north hill ;D

Thank goodness, I had visions of me and Dakota being all alone for much of the evening, heaven only knows what might have happened!
