Not so far AFAIK - being a toric user myself. Took ages for high water content ones to become available. You cab probably get away with wearing them overnight occasionally, but I think they're generally too thick to be work continuosly - as yet.

Fair enough - that was what I was thinking.  I'll just get a pair of demented colours for parties, then ;)

Ooh, you can get continuous wear torics now?  Links to either those or the coloured torics buyable online would be appreciated...

I have fairly extreme astigmatism so it might just be my eyes - I couldn't get daily ones in my prescription until about a year ago.

Same here. Daily torics in my prescription are eye-wateringly* expensive, even online  :(

Continuous toric: http://www.aclens.com/displaylens.asp?LensID=283

Pop em in at the start of the month, forget about 'em apart from some eyedrops in the morning.  Magic.

If you know your prescription it's much cheaper to order from overseas and have them shipped.

I thought it was that type, I've been wearing normal continuous wear lenses for 5 years now, they are great.  Its great to wake up and be able to see the alarm clock

Yep!

Do you find that you rarely wear glasses anymore, but they keep trying to sell you them?

They don't make them in 16 mm diameter and 10.0 as base curve.

It's special production 3 or 6 month lenses, bloody expensive too.

Nope.  I cancelled my running deal and buy 'em from teh interwebs.  They gave up in disgust.

Instead I wear lots of sunglasses, and am in danger of becoming a sort of Imelda Marcos for the damned things if this is a bright summer!

Well I'll have to see if my prescription is available - it may be that my optician isn't keen on continuous wear lenses. Likewise I haven't been offered daily wear lenses as yet - which is probably the option I'd go for over continuous. Having said that I've not worn  my lenses for 8 months. And I can see adequately without corrective lenses for general cycling. Touring involving map reading would be a challenge though!
