New thread here for the 2019 event. Dan the organiser will be emailing the route sheet and GPX to riders over the next day or two.

Does anyone have a GPX with the controls marked? RideWithGPS appears to show them but won't include them in the download unless I "upgrade my account".

I don't, but Henley is free control and the other two are unmissable

the 2 info controls are easy to find as well - a war memorial and a post box.

here's a tip for the war memorial - answer is on the far side (as you arrive) at the bottom

Top ride today. Two special mentions are the fallen tree and riding underneath it! So satisfying and secondly the massive massive flood at Cobham!

Thanks all!

Whilst there was a stern headwind on the way out, and a quite nasty hail storm near Churt (for me); compared to Saturday, the weather was pretty damned nice.

Good route with sensible road choices for late winter/early spring - some lovely countryside.

First ride over 50km in months, but everything worked okay. Suppose I really better get fitter for the old Paris thing.

Good to see some old faces and catch up (all too briefly as paths cross at controls etc).

Bring on the Amesbury amble.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

Seconded on a great route - also somehow managed to miss the hail...so glad that headwind was behind us on the return leg.

Great ride, thanks all - especially the chaps who lent me a knife and a replacement zip tie, without which I'd've had to drop.
Ford was something of an unpleasant experience on a recumbent - thankfully it was early in the day and I dried off eventually. That aside, great route and a great ride.

massive flood at Cobham!

I am intrigued that many riders braved the Plough Lane floods, as our route carefully avoided it.  This road is always flooded after heavy rain.  I suppose that most riders, back on home turf, are on auto-pilot at this stage and going the way they usually go rather than following the official route.

That said, all riders are safe and accounted for and Dan the org has been getting all good feedback

Yeah a really nice ride and managed to avoid most of the hail showers too.  Rode some if it with a guy from Wimbledon (Martin!) who was thinking of packing after being dropped from one of the earlier faster groups but made it to Lasham without too much difficulty.  I then pressed on with the wind now behind me and almost finished in daylight.

The flooded road wasnt too bad and just about kept my feet dry but did think I wouldnt get past that fallen tree and would have to follow some diversion.  However, the lovely lady let me through.

Next week it should be the Man of Kent 200k

Sunday's club ride (New Malden Velo) took us up Plough Lane and the flood wasn't too deep. There were ducks swimming in it though...

great spin yesterday, with quite a few groups of people. ended up with a good group of 4, and we avoided the plough lane floods. Dans e-mail included the right route, the one on the website was replaced.

anyway Rich and team, great route, ride and the legs are feeling it now!
