Nest box cross over

We have a bog standard off the shelf nest box on the main tree in the garden here in the Scottish Borders.

We have observed a sparrow of which we have a goodly number 50+ at least making feeding visits to the box. My wife used the binoculars on Thursday and to our astonishment, the sparrow is feeding a bluetit.

Is this unusual or fairly common does anyone know?
