Here it is a wee bit bigger, albeit slightly out of focus.
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

That looks really great!

I don't suppose my life will ever allow me to ride an SR in Scotland, so I don't think my saddlebag will ever have one of these.

Lovely stuff.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

Dear Mega,

There's a ride I was interested in, for an SR Ecosse badge.
But the organiser ( some McTaggart wummin ) has set controls *south of the border*.
How is that supposed to work?

Can you please have words with her, and talk some sense into her?

Yours faithfully,
Giga.

Surely only one control on any Audax Ecosse ride needs to be in Scotland?

AIUI, for the AE SR thingy, all the rides have to be 'En Ecosse'.

AIUI, as currently interpreted, that means 'start - finish' En Ecosse.
So a loop into Ecosse does not count, whereas a loop out of Ecosse does.

Oh, and one-way, like towards York does. Did I just make that up?

Hello Feanor,

The finer points of the roolz are still being debated while we get the order together for the new medals etc

However so far we have that any event/permanent which starts in Scotland will count. If all four rides meet this criteria and are successfully completed within the same season they will count for the SR Ecosse.

Retrospective claims should be made giving details of the counting rides completed.

Hope to see you later in the year.

Lucy

Might there just possibly, maybe, be room to count LEJOG for the 600, on the basis that the only difference from JOGLE, (which would count), is direction of travel, whether you take the High Road or the Low Road?

Ohh, the shiny ;)

Usual longer sub for shorter allowed?

H, G & WI, stay up & reprise Guid Nychburris Twa-Step, and back later for the Military Roads.
I'd offer you some moral support - but I have questionable morals.

Can be backdated if you have a record of dates/details of events you wish to be counted

Bwahahaha!  :demon: ;D  That's excellent, as my planned SR for this year would not qualify.  So GIRUY to those who tried to scupper my badge-acquisitioning  ;D O:-)

<not that I'm likely to get one since I'm not a badge kind of chap>

The renewed medals and sew on patches will be arriving in about one weeks time so can be ordered from now on for those achieving a Super Randonneur series of events starting in Scotland or for retrospective claims with list of counting events.

Prices: Sew on patch £3.50/Medals £4.50 including p&p or £7.00 total inc p&p if you'd like one of each.

Are these for this current year and onwards or for previous years? I ask as I could order one for last year, if this is allowed. I'm guessing you won't be adding the year to the badge so one years badge will look like any other year's badge, and how can we tell one year to the next?

Cheers.

Yes you are very welcome to claim for last years series Dave. Just send a list of your counting events. Cheers Lucy
