........... from High Ham, nr Street, Somerset.  Sunday 27th April

Choice of 200 or 100  (I did the 200)

As I had nothing else on for this weekend, I decided to enter and drove down on the morning (131 miles from home).

Weather forecast was not good, but I decided that it might not be correct anyway, and it wasnt!  Surprised that only 18 had entered the 200 but over 120 entries for the 100!

A very nice scenic route through the counties of Somerset, Devon and Dorset with good controls spaced every 20 miles on average and a choice of free drink from the cafe at Forde Abbey at about halfway.

Not too hilly except for a 1 in 6 out of Honiton and a very hilly 20 mile section between Sherborne and Cranford Station control.

Beautiful and ideal cycling weather for most of the day except for about 40 minutes of rain towards the end, but superb organisation and route by the organiser.

A highly recommended event which I hope to ride again next year.
