I don't have much to add to what others have said. Despite riding my rather 'agricultural' Thorn touring bike I got back by about 5.30 - towed round by Joolz & others. Oddly, both Joolz and I felt that the route was less hilly than in previous years, but having talked to Paul it seems that this has no basis in reality!

Many thanks to Paul for organising. Good to see such a high turnout.

Blast - I was just getting ready to do this ride next weekend and now see it was last weekend.  Classic mistake.

I see the results of this ride have been in the database for a while, but I've yet to recieve my brevet card. Has mine been been sucked into a Royal Mail red black hole?

It was a BRM, so your brevet card goes to the ACP in France and back. This takes approximately forever.

That's a lovely idea.  A pile of cards winging to and fro across the channel.

Completely untrue, of course.

ACP are emailed a list of finishers and times.  They record the result, produce a batch of validation stickers and post them (slowly) to England.  All takes time, I'm afraid.  Usually about a month between us receiving the cards from the organiser and sending them back.

I have received my card...

...and I want to know who's responsible for the scurrilous defacement of the address page.

Come on, own up...
