Where is he actually going tonight? Or has he just gone out of control and can't stop heading north?!
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

The man's a phenomenon.

These are very long days though.  Today Steve had a tail wind, I think, which should mean higher avg speed, he's still out there after 22:00 hrs.  We are all hoping the team know exactly what they are doing regarding tactics, and have faith that is the case.

Time for some of Brailsford's sum of the small gains theory?  Analysis of each days ride to see what can be learned?

He's at the Blacksmith's Arms in Farlington. I reckon he's too late to order food though.

He got up before I did.  He'll be going to bed after me.  But I'm the one who's knackered and won't be riding 200 miles tomorrow, no chance.  I did walk to the post box to post an Audax entry though.

And I had a nap this afternoon!

The frightening thing about this is that, although Steve has had an amazing day, even accounting for a 5-hour time difference, Tarzan is only 12 miles behind him.

Crikey, what's it going to be like in the summer?
We'll all have to wait until the following morning to find out how many miles he did the day before.
After we've read that, we'll need to bring up the tracker to see where he is that current morning!

It's probably more like 20, because the trackers don't tell us about the bit right near Steve's house, but still...

I suspect that Steve's route, especially where he followed the Trent, will have made the tracker thinking he was going less distance than he was. Tarzan's route seems to have included a lot more straight lines.

It's only a 4 hour difference these days due to that "daylight savings time" nonsense.
