RRTY/SR clarification
« on: 05 January, 2016, 04:34:38 pm »
For the RRTY I know I need to ride a 200km plus ride every calendar month for a year - 12 rides
For the SR I know I have to ride a 200, 300, 400 and 600km ride in a calendar year - 4 rides
If I was to combine them and try to complete both in the same calendar year can I do it in 12 rides ( 9 x 200, 300, 400 & 600) or do I need to do a total 16 rides ( 12 x 200, 200, 300, 400 & 600)?

you can do it in 12.

(12 x 1200 is still RRtY)

SR has to be ridden in one season (1st Oct - 30th Sept).
RRTY is any 12 consecutive months.
Rides in an SR can count towards your RRTY.

Thanks for the clarification.
2 x 200 completed in Nov & Dec. 2 x 200 booked for Jan & Feb.
5 x 200, 300, 400 & 600 rides identified.
I have no excuse now just have to get on and do the rides.

I'm never quite sure about whether you can count the same ride for different awards.

For the RRTY, this is not the case and you can qualify for both an SR and an RRTY with just 12 rides, provided they fit the criteria for the separate awards.  Of course, to do a second RRTY, you need another 12 rides, I'm clear about that.

Are you absolutely 100% dyed in the wool sure ? ? ?

Might there be the odd exception or more when the mood takes  ;)
where you have a concentration of power in a few hands, all too frequently men with the mentality of gangsters get control. History has proven that. Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.
