A Bit Chuffed
« on: 31 May, 2012, 06:53:51 pm »
I'm really quite chuffed.  I've just had a photo selected for the Red Button on BBC Springwatch.  This adds to the four selected for BBC Autumnwatch.  I know I don't get any money for it, but it's hard enough to get ONE photo onto the Beeb because the standard is so high, so to have got five on there is quite cool.

Which one?

This one....

Anyone else chuffed with anything?

I should add, since this is Phototalk, that it was taken with the new EOS5d MkIII with canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens at f11 in natural light. I was soaked and getting covered with mozzy bites at the time. It was about 8pm, had just rained, and the sun had just come out which provided a bit of definition. Hand held (you try setting up a tripod and see how fast snails can move when they put their mind to it!).

Have to say the 5d3 is an awesome bit of kit, far more capable than I am.

Great pic.  Love the shell detail, lighting is great too.
