My local Asda (Isle of Dogs) is knocking these out for £20, so I got one.
Looks just as capable as the sat nav I currently use, but is 10 times cheaper...

Ta for that! I may get one of these.

May well be hackable.
I got an similar bit of kit a year ago for £40 called a Navigo. Found a great site with files and instructions to hack it to run as a Garmin, with much superior software ;)

I bought my daughter a MyGuide satnav a couple of years ago. Older model than that £20 one, but it's been excellent.
they don't normally come with a mains charger tho'.
Apparently they are hackable. We've never felt the need.
Ebuyer still sells them for £50 (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/161002/show_product_reviews) and the reviews pages usually has useful hacking tips.

I never felt the need for a satnav until they became so cheap ;)
If it is the same as the navigo then the hacking is worthwhile. The garmin's maps are nicer (IMO) and they have some very useful features such as 7 digit postcode navigation.
