Been mentioned in the weekly news email from the CTC, who are taking an interest. Seems the local council is speaking with forked tongue. All started with a local resident taking a dislike to have cyclists attending a cyclists' cafe.

Regularly reported on by road.cc

The belligerent party appears to be the previous owner of the property. It was previously a pub, and seems *as far as I can tell* to have been a favourite among motorcyclists. Go figure.

This is soemwhat bizarre - You're customers are not allowed to do something, we're not telling what it is, but we'll hold you responsible for what they do.  Straight out of 1984

Apparently the FoI request showed hat there had been two complaints over two years...   :-\

Anyway, onna a Henley-o-T ride sometime, was thinking of paying VL a visit.  Re. the injunction what constitutes an 'organised' ride?  My guess is whatever in terms of numbers looks like a club run...

You have stated your intent here. So, that probably constitutes a 'plan', therefore some level of orginisation.

To the gallows for the VL owner!

This weeks British Cycling Newsletter has reported it too. Chris Boardman has requested Windsor council drop the case as a waste of public money to prevent an activity they should be encouraging

Looks like the neighbour is complaining, think the chap is the ex owner of the pub and member of the council.

The injunction has been withdrawn, and velolife can return to business as normal!
