Not been out with my camera today but I was out with it 33 years ago apparently.

Just had a recently-found roll of HP5 developed by Harmann Labs (formerly Ilford) and scanned.  This is the christening of our friend's son.  The son is now 33.

There were about 10 usable images from 36 but that's not so bad for a roll of film that has spent a third of a century in a warm house.

I'm currently taking pictures on XP2 using my Ebay Balda-matic 35mm.

Something tells me this image is from the old roll, and it's not the mono and grain aliasing;)

Correct.  I've had to pull a lot of detail out of the shadows.  There wasn't a lot left after 30 odd years.

Out this afternoon with my canon 750D, the Canon EF-S10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM, and my cheap and cheerful Neweer 10 stop ND filter:

IMG_1775-800 by BTIPhotography, on Flickr

Not as long a shutter speed as I'd imagined, 8 seconds @ f/11

But a good test of the el cheapo ND filters. No noticeable colour cast that I can see!

I like the composition but I can see a magenta vignette in the sky on my PC.

Ideal conditions this morning for meandering across the fields with a macro lens attached.

Thanks LEE.

It's had 14000+ views on flickr and 300+ faves, so I went in search of the same this morning.

They were all much of a muchness, so I looked for insects instead.

But I quite liked on this one the way each droplet acts as a lens and provides an in-focus view of the blade of grass beneath.

Nothing to share yet, but feeling inspired by the astro photo competition at Greenwich observatory I'm in the garden now, with camera pointing up.

This is the one I prefer. It's that each droplet is a tiny lens, as you say. It also interesting how the beads of water are connected by web filaments.
Some impressive images from you on Flickr. I love the misty sunlight on the canal.

Tried to photograph bats at the weekend. Spent a lot of time learning how not to do it.

I believe that, in Scotland, you need permission from SNH to photograph bats...
