A lesson learned
« on: 26 February, 2019, 02:42:21 pm »

Had my first flat of the year today. I stopped at the side of the road to put a new tube in, having got the wheel off, and the old tube out, I lent the wheel against the fence, while I tried to work out what the cause of the flat was on the tube (failure by the valve). Fault found I pick up the wheel, and discover what kind of Fence I had lent the wheel against. Somewhat shocked by this discovery, I drop the wheel, which starts down the side of the dijk towards the water. Fortunately, it landed on dry land.

I suppose this was a lesson I needed to learn at some point... Ow.

At least you didn't have a quick slash before fixing it.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

I bet it made you volt over the wire which could cause a potential difference.

Was this a one off ride or a circuit?

It is also a learning experience when you shoulder your bike and try to step over a similar fence before noticing the insulators...
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

At least you didn't break it, you could have found yourself on a charge.

Watt have I started? I see you've all charged in with suitable responses. I don't know how far we can go before the Coulomb-ative weight is too much. I am glad you are all enjoying my education, it siemens that some of you are enjoying it too much. Have you no idea how much these things hertz?

I shall try to resist continuing further, I know my capacitance for word play in situations like this are almost limitless...

Lacking in puns, I shall slip this in:

Probably the canonical example.

Shockingly, those guys don't appear to be on YACF.  Which is a shame, as they'd fit right in without any need for induction.

Not those two maybe (video wont play for me) but I did post something along those lines previously - 4 old duffers and a fence. I was frankly shocked at their ineptitude.

Resistance is futile, a battery of puns will keep recharging with no terminal in sight.
