We rode under a line squall late one evening at the beginning of the month, when it was almost dark. Impressive: dead calm with moon & stars one minute, and the next we were slammed by high wind and torrential rain. Then out the other side and back to the calm & clear sky. Couldn't get any pics but here are a few Googled ones.

Storm passing over Darlo:

And a mackerel sky? Plus a few other clouds - I wonder if the sweeping lines are created by aircraft, as Teesside Airport is in that direction.

Particularly lenticular!  When was that?  I've got a photo of some over the Pennines but I've only seen a couple in quite a long life.  I'll try and dig it out.

This time last year. It's very common there, when the Lavanter blows.

There were some fairly hefty showers around Durham on Friday:

I just spotted this in an old photo, and I'm fairly sure it's a lenticular cloud forming over Cross Fell:

If you blow that up to the largest size your photo-jibbling software allows you will cearly be able to see the Lizards inside, doing Lizardly things such as drinking blood and sodomising Earth women.  I saw this on some UFO conspiracy nutcase website a few years ago, so it must be true.

Ta  :-*  No, a couple of years ago.  On a gorgeous winter's day on the South Gare - well, until that front came in.

Just ordinary clouds that you'd hardly notice.
