What's that he says at the end, "I've got to Land Rover the toy shop"?

The first time I heard....

Arianda Grande No More Tears

I thought the opening lines were....

Don't go singing Die Fledermaus
I'm not cleaning your daughter's house.

(don't ask!!!) although to my defence, or not as the case may be when my boss started wittering on about Arianda Grande a couple of years ago (apropos to his research) I thought he was talking about coffee.

I also thought Catch Feels was catch fish!!

I have officially turned into my parents.

Just out of interest, WTF language is 'Catch Feels' written in?

Is it the same as 'Blurred Lines'? Or is it its own special kind of nonse...?

Asking for a friend.

A Lilac Harry Quinn by Half Man Half Biscuit. As I hate the fact that god is always said to be male.

'...if god had meant for us to work, then I'm sure he she would have given us jobs...'

No much of a change, I'll grant you, but I like it!

Yesterday I found myself humming that Peter Gabriel classic, "Hedge Slammer".
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

Lots of young guys wear corduroy pants
As only a woman can.

From some tear-jerk Lloyd-Webber/A.N. Other song I heard years ago. Those are really the correct words, but normally there's most of two verses between those two lines.

My 8 year old was singing 'Dancing Queen' with 'Fried eggs and lights are low' as the first line

Yesterday DJ Random played Janis Joplin singing "Me & Bobby McGee".  I'm afraid I substituted the word "sell" for "lose" in the line "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to...", because of Billy Bragg's "Marching Song Of The Covert Battalions".

And DJ Random played Mr Bragg's fine tune just now

It seems I have been singing the second line of Hawkwind's "Psychedelic Warlords (Disappear In Smoke)" wrong for forty years, in that it should be:

Quote
All we de is get screwed up by other people's flaws
And not:
Quote
All we do is get screwed up on other people's floors

That reminds me...

Substituting "washing machine" for "silver machine" in the classic Hawkwind ditty.

Kangaroo Roll          (King of the Road.  Inspired by dreadful diction)

Whoops there goes another Lavatory Pan      (Same reason as above)

I've a baby in one hand and a pain in the udder     (Carole King's accent)

Can I believe the magic of your SIZE  /  and will you still love me tomorrow?     (Actually undetectable but I've told lots of people  ...  )

Not quite in the original sense, but when a song uses the word "eyes" it can be educational to substitute "nose", e.g.

When I look into your nose
I see my destiny.

...

Can't take my nose off you.

Etc. Other organs may also yield interesting results. Or not.
