That's a remarkably well defined boundary layer if you don't mind me saying so?

I did adjust the lighting, it was looking down towards Harlech at about 6pm and there's nothing photoshopped about the boundary layer. I assume it's a costal effect, possibly a sea breeze front.

None was implied (I hope!) I'm sure you'd do no such thing  ;D. Well defined boundary layers are not uncommon,  but they are striking - especially when set against such a rugged landscape.

A shot of Castell y Gwynt would have been superb with that cloud effect.

Son is in Svarlbard for one month , doing glaciology fieldwork, so we are following the University of Svarlbard twitter feed.
I think some of these fit the bill.

Never mind covers, I reckon they could inspire some music. Is that a walrus spine in the top one?

I dunno, but you can see its silhouette diving down to the right in the ice arch at the centre of the image.

Wow these prog rock covers have got so much hidden meaning man.

Proof that glaciation prog rock covers follow the Hanna Barbera/Warner Bros laws of physics.
