Surface pro 4 is sulking
« on: 23 January, 2018, 11:00:32 am »
My surface pro 4 is upset at something as it is refusing to talk to any wifi connection.  It happily tells me there are connections available but refuses to list them so I can select one to connect to.

Non of the online solutions i've found have helped and I suspect the multiple attempts at fiddling under the hood mean a reinstall of windows is imminent.  But that's a real pain when you are stuck with dodgy Hotel Wifi tethering via your phones USB/Wifi connection.

I suspect a stuck update is the cause.

Would anyone have a suggestion that doesn't involve running the trouble shooter, netsh, scf or dimv(?).

Clever enough to know I'm not clever enough.

No luck resolving the issue. A reset was needed.
