Hello Chaps.

Condor Tempo with 70 inch (46 x 18 and 23 mm tyres)

I rode with Paul M until I packed at 600 km.  My left arm was aching at 600 km, which means at 1400 km, I wouldn't have be able to lift anything above chest level for at least six months.   This is strange neurological condition that relates to My traumatic Brian Injury (TBI) in 2010.  Strangely, it doesn't always happen on long ride I.e. It didn't happen on Mille Pennines last year.  Was gutted because I was enjoying the ride with Paul until then and didn't walk up any hills :-).

I am really glad Paul finished the ride and hope his isn't in too much pain and if he is, it does last too long.

As "Pip" says, I was riding 48x18 fixed, 71" gear. Only problem was keeping up with my companions on the longer descents. Otherwise I didn't have any difficulties.

I was on an XS light greenish brown  Steamroller at 69.7 gi with aero bars gopro etc, wearing an orange jersey. Finished in 126 hours. Spinning out on descends was a real problem, kept being passed by riders I passed minutes before. Walked none other than up Alston on wet cobbles. Need a slightly higher gear next time at least for outbound

I'm pretty sure I saw one of the riders from the far East on a fixed. He always seemed very cheerful as he passed me, going a fair bit faster (I'm not really sure how I kept getting in front of him). He made it look a lot easier than it must have been ...
weird and wonderful, fabulous folly

I'd offer you some moral support - but I have questionable morals.
