I think Pip went somewhere a while ago though - some kind of work placement for a big multinational agri-corp?
Pip was going to work for a big agri business company , which involved going to Brazil  (I think) but chucked the job in at the last minute.

I don't always listen, so I may have missed something.
But what's this Brighton thing?
Another partner and child?
A vulnerable relative?
A vulnerable friend?

He's claimed in the past that it's a vulnerable friend but I trust him as far as Jill could throw him.
All was explained this evening. I believe him.

Whatever it is, it can't possibly be as ludicrous as Lilian and Justin's ongoing bedroom farce.

Yet to be revealed. I predict Bad Things and the Doom Music.

Henwy left screaming in the car as the evil one snatches Jak. It's only Friday, that was surely a weekend cliffhanger. 'i am not your real daddy, I am a pretend daddy' words to chill the heart of any child actor.

That damned tree. Stunted a decent storyline there.

Although, I'm not sure I could have put up with another couple of weeks of Helens' sobbing in my earbuds.

Can someone update me on the Brighton thing?  I missed it and won't be wading through the whole omnibus just for that.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Toby has an ex, Stella(?), in Brighton, who is a drug addict  She was in hospital after an overdose last week. Toby feels some responsibility, hence the sudden departure. He came clean about it to Pippa on his return, as she tried to throw him out. She's forgiven him, for the time-being.

Or at least that's what he's claiming.......

I see that the actress playing Caroline (or as Jack Woolley would say "Carraloine") has died.

That's very sad, Caroline was a good character and I'm sure Sara Coward was just as nice in real life.

I am given to understand that Gill Archer has been arrested for throwing flapjack, 60 years to the day since her first appearance on the programme.

Is this true or is it trumped-up fake news?

Jill, rather than Gill, indeed  got her collar felt by PC Harrison wossname for assault, namely winging a lump of flapjack at a chef woman, famed, ironically, for her waste of food in her restaurant.

I intermittently listen to the Archers, basically if I happen to  be in the car when its on.

I just looked at the Archer page on the BBC site and blimey Anisha is black ! It's going to take weeks for my metal image to switch.

That's the thing with radio you have to make up your own idea of what a character looks like and its always a shock when you see a picture of them. Liilian and Eddie Grunday are all wrong as well.  I think I shall write to the BBC and insist that they change them to actors who more closely resemble what's in my head.

I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I didn't know for sure but I guessed. There have been a few hints, not least in the way other people react to her. Plus she has a Sri Lankan surname.

Pip gave herself away a bit tonight on hearing the news that Anisha has slept with Rex by saying she "didn't think she was his type".
