Bognor Regis

Bognor Regis

I like this one  :)

Thank You.

I've never been to Bognor before and to manage to get a photo of the place, that someone likes, is possibly my biggest achievement.

It's like Blackpool but without the class.

that's gorgeous Vince..

I ticked something off the 'really should do' list yesterday when I finally went round the Cambridge museum of technology, an old pumping station beside the river that I've cycled and rowed past thousands of times.  Fred Dibnah did a TV programme on the chimney back in the 80s.  I rode past yesterday morning and spotted it was open and they were running one of the engines, so I went back after lunch with one lens and had a play...  It's a shame the pics don't include the smell of iron and grease which was brilliant!  They also had a Tesla coil demonstration which was quite cool, but the pics don't do it justice.

The tower on Kinnoul Hill,  just outside Perth, looking down the Tay towards Dundee?

Just back from an incredible week in Botswana, I was like a kid in a sweet shop with my camera...  I've got about 4000 to go through, here are a few.  I asked a couple of months ago if I should take DSLR kit or not, I was very glad to have it for the focus speed but the couple of people in the group with superzoom bridge cameras got near-identical pics of most stuff with a massive weight (and faff) saving.

Lovely blue waxbills and pied kingfisher. Leopard a serious treat. Nice shots. Which lodge and where in Bots were you?

We were in a self catering place near mashatu, right on the Botswana / SA / Zimbabwe border. A friend of a friend has a timeshare there.

End of Semester exhibition for a module run between Life Sciences and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design on Science, Art and Visual Thinking.
After a scientist/art student speed date at the start of semester and subsequent meeting(s) between the pairings, the students prepare and present their interpretive pieces. Here are a few pics - the rest may be uploaded later.

DSC_7700 by David Martin, Sound/video interaction was a big theme this year, and this is the only set up shot with Pawel posing and a remote flash.

Something to do with decay.. It took a lot of attempts to get the drip in the right place.

Tree planting. A dawn to dusk job at this time of year.
