"separation" confirmation coming up...  Hopefully the landing will be quite an event.

Fingers crossed for the landing, though I'm not optimistic without that thruster...

If I were a betting man, I'd be putting money on this lark not working out as planned.

However, I said the same about the barking mad American Mars lander that was craned down from a hovering spaceship that had parachuted through the atmosphere.

Exciting stuff. I assume it's doing some science as well as making good f5 material.

If they even *hit* the comet, it will be an incredible feat.

'tis like a rifle-shooting competition where the bullseye is a pencil dot one kilometer away and you are pulling the trigger with a 100m long bungee cord.

To qualify as a british army sniper you have to put 3/10 shots through a 50p piece at 1km. For the advanced qual they only show you the target for about 10 secs in an 8 hour window.

It's amazing and I hope they succeed and all this is not coming from area 51  ;)

Which just proves that SCIENCE! is harder than being an army sniper.

Where's the best place to "watch" events? The esa website has too much video and I don't have a landline or broadband at home so need something less megabyte-ish.
