[HAMR] 5th October - Teethgrinder Day 59/278

This is what makes Steve a champion, consistency.

Off again to East Anglia, no heroics, no racing, just day in day out steady riding, which Audax is all about. A true flag bearer.

I know Steve is running a later in the day strategy atm, but I am getting the impression that he's passing 100 miles later every day. Still 92 miles at 4:30.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I thought he had done the turn and was heading back, after getting close to Bush Farm at Nedging Tye (was this a food stop)?

I don't know that bit of the country too well.

However Ivans tracker does not now show progress up to the farm and instead now indicates an about turn before heading out again, and then continuing eastwards to a Burger King at Needham Market on the outskirts of Ipswich. There is s Travel Lodge nearby but surely too early to turn in for the day yet?

Maybe the weather is playing its part?

Another night away as Basil suggests?

From memory, there's buggerall at Nedging Tye. It's on the Dun Run route so well-known to many forummers.

Either he's caught the train from Ipswich to you to take up your offer of good weather, or he seems to have stopped there for tonight, with a relatively low mileage for the day?

I believe that was generally the idea of having hosts dotted around the country. Available at short notice depending on the prevailing weather/wind direction.

Chez Wobbly is still on standby...

Well, he seems to have stopped at some houses in Barham, but nothing has been posted on Tracker since 9.21pm GMT.

Hope Steve has a higher mileage day Tuesday.  His intended Oct average was 230 per day or 7130 for the month. Still 142 miles down on the minimum of 206 per day by some 140 ish
Must build up spare miles for the winter when lower mileages will be certain.  Come on Steve churn em out if poss
