That should go in the silly signs thread as well. The road sign says "No pedestrians - when barrier is lowered"

Near Mol, a Bailey bridge, or de Bailey-brug, as it is known locally. Reputedly the last 100% original Bailey bridge in Europe.

At the beginning of WW2 the original bridge was blown up. When our country was liberated, the English replaced it with a military bridge designed by D C Bailey (Bailey-brug in dutch), which still shows its solidity every day.

Most impressed with Salvatore and Mr L dedicating their holibobs in an attempt to fill the thread up. Still some more space though.

Been a bit light on bridges recently coz apart from motorways and dry river beds there aten't been much requiring bridging.  I crossed the Mighty Colorado again this afternoon but we've already had that bridge (Glen Canyon, Page, AZ).

I must confess that looked like a model of Victoria falls bridge to me.  Anthony Coulls there, didn't know for sure...  loco belongs to David Shepherd...

New bridge alert!!

This little sweetie carries a National Forest access road across the south fork of the Rio Grande not far from South Fork, Colorado.

The Rio Grande is about half a mile from tonight's motel so I may take the camera with me when I go out in search of milk.

Bridges over the Mighty Rio Grande in Alamosa, Colorado:

This one connects Cole Park to, well, not very much.  A trailer park.  Squint at the second pic for a San Juan mountain in the far distance.

This one carries US-160 across the Mighty Rio Grande.  Up here it contains oil slicks and "shopping carts" rather than Mexicans.

There were probably some bridges in Carlsbad but when I left this morning it had been pissing down for fourteen hours straight so I was disinclined to look for them.  Carlsbad has a "Canal Street" and therefore, presumably, a canal, but if it's what I think it is, then it's like once of the less salubrious bits of the BCN, only without any boats.  It wasn't until it dried out in Texas that bridges could be snapped:

Carries US-90 over Sanderson Canyon and the Union Pacific railroad near Sanderson, TX

US-90 over the Pecos River, near Comstock, TX

Union Pacific railroad across Amistad Reservoir, near Del Rio, TX.  The grey pillars of the US-90 road bridge can also be seen - I'll try to get to that side tomorrow.

As promised, US-90 road bridge of Amistad Reservoir, near Del Rio, TX.  It's about a mile long so I didn't get it all in.

I know this is really a tunnel and we've got a separate thread for them but it's late and I'm hungry.  Big Bend National Park, Texas.

Bridge carrying Rio Grande Village Road over Tornillo Creek, Big Bend NP.

I think this carries Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive over Blue Creek but ICBW.  Big Bend NP.

Surely not a tunnel, just a bridge with a mountain crossing it  ;)

While crossing this1...

...I found this

lurking in the trees

Dunno which railroad it was but I bet the pair I'd seen earlier on a laden tandem had been wishing it had been subjected to the rails-to-trails treatment rather than being left to moulder.

Today we visited the bridge across the Rio Grande gorge near Taos NM:

Something was going on when I arrived; the fire department and several different species of rozzers were on-site.  Doesn't look much from this angle, but...

...eventually $INCIDENT was cleared and I could get across to the parking area on the west side, from where it looks like this:

This is what's underneath:
