It is rather good, isn't it.

I'm not sure if this one counts, as I wasn't pedalling at the time, but BRIDGE!

One of these days I'll get around to posting the photographs I took, but unti then - here is someone's video of bridges I captured back in September.

I do enjoy this thread - perhaps without ChrisS' expletives though.  It was really nice to have a clear view of the Humber Bridge on this flight from Teesside to Amsterdam:

This is a massive construction taking place between Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macau, a series of bridges and tunnels which are under construction.  Seen while landing at Hong Kong airport in a typhoon.  Pretty hairy landing, on the same day the flight from Amsterdam was shot down over Ukraine.

That would be because he is a GIT, I do believe?

The good lady has made a very adequate summation of the only possible response, I feel.

Hope you're having a lovely time

Gisund Bridge, on leaving Finnsnes at midday (hence the slight lack of darkness)

Approaching Tromsø, at around 2pm (so 1300 GMT)

The bridge in Tromsø, and the Arctic Cathedral.

Humber bridge.
From the FNRttC earlier this year
I think CL is well overdue a pic, given the unmitigated hospitality she bestowed upon me when I did the ride a year earlier.... and this year...
For anyone who cares ... that's the south stanchion, on the up river side, looking upwards (I was on my back on the floor, taking the pic) and east (hence the highlights from the rising sun to the base of the cables in the image) make sense?

Not a lot of bridginess today, I'm afraid.  That might be summat to do with only getting about 5 hours of useable light, mind.  This one makes up for it in quality though, I feel - the northernmost bridge in the whole entire world.

Havøysund Bridge, connecting Havøysund village to the mainland.

To fill the page a bit, here's a bit of Havøysund down by the harbourside:

(To be fair, most of it is in much better nick than that)

Vardø, at 3pm today.  Part-time bridge, over a tidal channel between two islands.  The main island is connected to the mainland by a road tunnel, which just just doesn't cut it, photogenically-speaking.

Well.  Today was not a quiet day for your seaborne Norwegian bridge correspondent, not least cos we had excellent weather for the first time on this trip.  So without further ado, I give you Risøyhamn bridge, from the north with cormorants...

...and from the south without

The panoramic ones are clickable btw for a bigger version, otherwise they're a bit lost.
