I think it's a repeat visit to the gallery for this one. Vasco da Gama bridge over the Tejo/Tagus estuary between Alochete and Sacavém, Lisbon.  Wonkypedia lists it as Europe's longest bridge at 17,5km, but we measured the over the water and salt marshes bit at 13km.  Picture quality compromised by too many bug splats on the windscreen and the phone camera tried to focus on them instead of the view of the bridge.

On the wall of the arrivals hall in Lisbon airport there's this spectacular view of the same bridge. Is a photo of a photo within the rules?

Meanwhile, back on the bridge itself, you get a long distance view of the 25 Abril suspension bridge, the other way in and out of Lisbon over the Tagus. No points at all for picture quality.

They laughed when I said I was going to be a stand-up comedian. They're not laughing now.

Seems the Skerne bridge on the Stockton-Darlington Railway was featured on the back of the 1990-2003 fiver along with George Stephenson.

A short potter to get some 'fresh' air (it's like a sauna out there) and we have photos.

The National 400 featured some very good bridges. Starter for 10:

Curvy 1930s(?) concrete bridge over the Avon in the St Annes area of Bristol, opposite Kim's Kafe (and just round the corner from Argos Cycles)

Poxy little bridge just round the corner from previous one but with bonus lock on Feeder Canal

Bridge carrying Spine Road over Filton Bank railway, with added extra pipe bridge in foreground and Dr Day's junction as distractional bonus.

There is a bridge, far off.

Just for a change, this one carries the railway over the road. We're almost at Temple Meads now!

It's a fine city, Newcastle, with some fine bridges.  Here the railway crosses Dean Street.

That's the Millennium Bridge over the Tyne, taken from the deck at the Baltic Museum Of Contemporary Art, where I was at a wedding.  Apologies for my family members blocking the view there.  The bridge was open, which I hadn't realised at the time or I'd have pushed them in the river and got a proper picture.  You can see the handrail right at the top.

Here it is closed.

50 years old this year. Some interesting painting underneath, depending on the direction you look. You have to be looking in just the right direction from the right place.

That's really clever.  Is it the Forth Road Bridge?

No. It is the Tay Road Bridge. There was a bit of a Knees Up in the new waterfront complex (Slessor Gardens) today to celebrate that it ain't fallen down yet. When looking south you should be able to see the lift on NCN1. But you can't as it is hidden behind a pillar.
