So sure was Noodley of his bet that he didn't bring any waterproofs
and it was very, very wet. We still had an enjoyable day out, despite punctures, appalling road surfaces and headwinds on the big climbs. The scenery in the non-audax sense was "variable" and the leadhills seem popular with a certain type of camper, i.e. one that brings mostly beer and leaves the empties lying at the side of the road. Still - good company and nice to be out in the fresh air.
