So sure was Noodley of his bet that he didn't bring any waterproofs  ::-) and it was very, very wet. We still had an enjoyable day out, despite punctures, appalling road surfaces and headwinds on the big climbs. The scenery in the non-audax sense was "variable" and the leadhills seem popular with a certain type of camper, i.e. one that brings mostly beer and leaves the empties lying at the side of the road. Still - good company and nice to be out in the fresh air.

I'm glad you guys still had a good day out.  Although I never did the ride, I still managed to get soaked when I rode the 6 mile round trip to the gym (my wife had the car hence the no show today).
