Morning All. A retrace is on the cards today.

We could be on for a Gibbontastic day.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Good weather today!

Kurt is on the move now as well, heading towards Gulfport, Louisiana.

When you say "good weather" it was bloody cold this morning. Ok, it's warmed up a bit now but I'd have been riding in winter gear first thing.

Well done TG and TGS.  Its v. nice outside CET Towers now, but an east wind so hope it isn't impacting TG too much as we traverses Oxfordshire.  Hoping for some gibbons.

I was riding in winter gear at 12 as well, a keen breeze.

This is true.  at 10:00 in Rugby I was cold on the bike but by 11:00 I'd shed my outer shell, swapped my gloves for lighter ones and dropped the headband which keeps the chill out of my delicate likkle ears.

Almost sunburned now...  :D

I was out on a 200 DIY today and by pure chance crossed paths with Steve

Similar experience yesterday, near Vernham Dean, complete surprise as I'd started early without looking where he was headed. Managed only to shout "Steve!!!" in support. Completely made my day.

And his smile and wave were the warmest of the day, and his riding style the best.

Looked like a Gibbon and then he turned in Ambrosden and hightailed it down the A41.  But he's made a turn.  All is not lost in the Gibbon stakes.  The great man toys with us.

He'd obviously just stopped for tea.  Now fuelled up, he's bagged a Gibbon.

Go Steve

For any of us 420 miles in a weekend would be an outstanding achievement (way over 600km) but for Steve it is just another 2 days at the office.

Puts it into context, doesn't it.  More than a 600km ride every two days for the rest of the year.

Chapeau Steve.
