It's perfect cycling weather today. There is a breeze, south-easterly, but I don't suppose it will trouble Steve a lot. Good luck!

Was talking about you today Steve and how we were impressed with your Zennish just get on and pedal.

Wishing you luck for today's cycling and hope your weather is as superb as ours, bright, sunny, not too cold!

218 miles - Loving this consistency of putting rides above the average. Having some in reserve must feel a lot better than having to plan to put them in the bank later. Great stuff Steve - Keep at it !

I don't see anything in reserve yet, his total is 10358.6 which is:
  • Better than Tommy's day 51 total but Tommy was riding in winter (7860)
  • Worse than Tommy's 51 day total over the same date range (11668)
  • Below Tommy's year average of 205.7 per day (10488.5)
  • A smidge ahead of Kurts day 51 total, also ridden in winter (10343.5)
  • Below Kurts average of 208.3 per day (10623.3)
  • Below Kurt 51 day total over the same date range (10448.4)
Of the 6 options above it's Kurts 208.3mpd that I see as the the benchmark at the moment, when he's above that then he'll have a reserve.  Every day he exceeds 208.3, which he has most days since he revised his lunch routine, works towards that.

Usual disclaimer, just my opinion which matters not a fig.

Oh, I thought he was doing around 340 km (211/212) per day - I have not followed closely enough and had built a (v. small) cushion.

However, it does look like he's riding with outstanding commitment, patience, purpose, wisdom, style - even more so than ever. Which is saying a lot of course.

He doesn't need a small cushion. He's got a Brooks.

Go Steve!
