Someone has just drawn my attention to the Bike Events ride on 26th July from Picketts Lock to Cambridge. Their website notes "Chesthunt" as being one of the nearest railway stations, but on the other hand there are expected to be extra trains from Liverpool Street on the Sunday so that could be handy.
I think most LELers are arriving on the Saturday and will have booked their accommodation so this shouldn't affect us.
Just make sure whose wheel you are following or you might end up in Cambridge. Worse still, could you imagine ending up at Dalkeith when expecting to only ride 59 miles
