Thank you BBC and Sunday Times!

So - was it right to publicise all that stuff when they did?

Never mind, it fair warmed my heart to hear Dave tell FIFA that "the future king of England" was behind your bid.
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

A few hours ago someone asked me if I was exceited [about having the world cup in Briton].

I really wasn't sure what my honest answer was. My 10year-old self would be astonished.

At least I don't have to decide for at least another 4 years now!

Money has spoken. Qatar for 2022.

Anybody care to price this in terms CO2 emissions?

And Qatar get 2022. That's one way to guarantee qualification for your first World Cup.

Back the bid for 2030 then.

Let's see Mr. Cameron rewrite the history of that bid.

The World Cup is a second rate tournament, anyway, after the Champions League!

Good. Cameron was banking on the World Cup and the Royal Wedding to distract the populace. Now he only has half an excuse.

They will probably play all the games in covered stadia, refrigerated to emulate European football season playing conditions, with underfloor heating.

Which is a shame, because watching overpaid mercenaries is all a bit false. Unless you aren't from Manchester  ;)
