I've finished my Balkan journal from 2016, so here it is.

Travels with Tito: Bulgaria to Austria via the former Yugoslav states - a journal on crazyguynabike.com

You should go read it, it's rather good  ;D  For extra forum intrigue, this is the tour where I accidentally rode backwards along the TCR route and bumped into most of the racers, including Frank and Hippy.

To whet your appetite, here are some photos.

Click through and they might show up in the journal itself?

Aah gotcha.  I'd better host them somewhere else then.

That was a fun read. You write as you tour: unable to suppress the time trialler within you!

FTR student mix is a common name for a mixture of nuts and raisins, though I've not seen it in English before, and Dvorce refers to something like a manor house.

I'm not sure I mentioned it in the journal, but my reason for running tribars was that I was doing a 12 hour soon after I got back, so wanted to keep riding in position.  Did I put it in?  If not, that might be worth a quick edit.

I don't think you mentioned tribars at all.

Great RR, Greg.  We toured the Balkans a couple of years ago and agree that Montenegro is a fantastic place to ride - so much variety of scenery and plenty of great climbs/descents.

Really enjoyed reading if not the thought of the dogs - is there a trace of the route anywhere?
