Just a reminder to London oriented Wessex veterans that a night of thigh slapping and glass clinking session is planned for this Thursday in The Cask, south of the river, from about 7:30 onwards.

Am now in full ''training'' mode to prepare for the Cask Wessex re-union evening

- started at the Kingston Wheelers summer B/Que yesterday afternoon, and continuing with beer and jazz tonight.

No, I think I am now fully prepared for tonight - just need to ensure that any lunchtime and late-afternoon rehydration is non-alcoholic, and to check google maps on how to get there!

The very smart new 20 years WSR cap has been sent out by 2nd class post today.

The delay was due to . . . . never did get an explanation . . . . but they were sorry!

Bloody hell, that was hot. Lost Stuart and Julez when I had to fix a flat and have a bit of a lie down

Once it got cooler though, the legs came back online and I am glad to have finished my Wessex SR.

I rode a solo Porkers on Saturday, It was a SCORCHER.

To make it even more interesting I lost the use of the small chain ring after 100k. Ground my way round the remaining 300k in the 42t ring.

I am still one ride short of being able to wear my cap, but it is a 200 jaunt along the coast......It may have to wait until September.

Received mine in W5. But I must say the one size fits all design doesn't in my case. Unless it "gives" a little I shall need to try out my tailoring skills.

+1, I think the fit is for the smaller head, whereas mine is quite big now , after completing the Wessex Series for the last two seasons.
