I'm a bit funky after this morning's 25.  I shall take a shower in a mo.

You need something a bit Kraftwerky for a TT, I'm not sure I'd called funky.

I'm not usually a big fan of Motown, as it's often a bit too 'clean'. But Yvonne Fair never was.

VELOMANCER

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.

I take it that link is to 'Hyperactive'. It's got all the components of funk, but you can't dance to it, and it's not about sex.

The Clash were famously overpowered by it.

Happy Mondays, particularly on "Pills 'N' Thrills" are just a funk band with idiosyncratic vocals.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Got to say that even I, a dye in the wool Punk/Indie boy danced my feet off at a Chic gig a couple of years ago.

I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I do tend to the experimental end of the funk. New York musicians playing around with syncopation. God Make me Funky being a prime example, usually a 9 minute plus jam, but here in a short version.

You can't dance to it, it's more of a foot-tapper.

What you need for you dance party is an 8 minute 18 second Electro-Funk remix of 'Every 1's a Winner' by Hot Chocolate.
