My wife has problems with her knees and awaiting surgery. She can no longer ride a bike as she cannot safely put a foot down and support herself and the bike in an emergency.

So she started nicking the Gekko!

After much discussion Bikefix now has a big box with her name on it. Inside the box is a new Gekko with Bionx power assist motor.

We pick it up on Saturday.......

Well its here, picked it up from BikeFix in London, with the  normal friendly service.

The boom is too short for me to ride it comfortably, but the Bionx is breathtaking!

It just works, smoothly, you suddenly realise that you are faster than you should be and that there is no noise
