I was going to head to Darlo to see Ruthie. I think Mr Smith is staying home this week.

Well it'd be rude not to then, wouldn't it (especially as it also week 1).

I know that Deano is sans velo, I am guessing CL is too, so any suggestions?  Trains to Thirsk and ride back to York from there?  I am currently a man of leisure so can fit with other's plans.

Pub near a station might work well. I don't ride more that 10 very very slow miles, pretty much ever, these days and bikes and TPEs are a pain in the arse.

I'd forgotten about the TPE bike reservations thing.  Arse.

I made CrinklyLion snort unattractively with laughter at the suggestion we could use the tandem...

Change ends at half time, obviously.

The wonderful CrinklyLion does nothing unattractively.... especially when she's laughing..

Short notice, but anyone fancy a Darlo trip tonight? I'll be having a gentle potter out to the Brownlow Arms at Caldwell. I just need to check they don't mind us using their car park for an early morning audax control, and since word is that Yorkshire's grumpiest landlord has went somewhere else, I think they'll be alright with it.

Yes- if this weather keeps up.
A short one though?
Pickhill via the footbridge at Maunby?

Yes! Bear in mind that the pub at pickhill is a Chinese restaurant cum pub now.

I wasn't sure if it even still existed, but Chinese sounds good to me.
Mr Smith is still a bit unreliable so we'll assume it's just me and ride from yours, T?

Prior warning: I'll be back for the one on the 29th/30th and I've been missing the English ales in my absence.  Can we go for a bunbury somewhere?

You will all be welcome to meet up here, but I won't be able to join in as Mrs T will be off in the South of Franceshire enjoying a well earned rest.

I just can't do Thursdays, at the moment due to dancing, Guides and Pilates.

I should be able, however, to fit one in next week, on the Wednesday, as per Karla's request.  This is due to careful use of grandparents.

Next Wednesday - I asked Bunbury and it'll be York.

So arrange your trains and rendezvous in York for a ride somewhere.
