kinesis Racelight T carbon Fork replacement
« on: 13 April, 2024, 11:43:09 am »
I have this fork fitted to a titanium Audax frame . Its 17 years old and done quite a few mile . Probably a good idea to replace it . Any one know the offset of this fork , from memory 45 mm . Google has failed so far , 378MM axel to crown , mudguards eyelets ,aluminium crown and 1" /1/8" steerer tube. thanks Colin

No mine has an alloy steerer and different numbers on label . lots of recall information on internet but not offset . I think I will still feel happier after all these years replacing it ,even though its a good one .

I bought the Van Nicholas ADX fork as a replacement for my recalled Kinesisbikes UK fork:
Length: 376mm (axle to crown), Rake: 45mm
https://shop.vannicholas.com/en/producten/front-forks/VNT-Front-fork-ADX-Carbon-Alloy-Audax/11306

Looking an at old catalogue from 2012, all their forks, including their Audax forks, had a 45mm rake. I would make really good sense if all their Audax forks had a 45mm rake, since they offered frames and forks separately, and AFAIK sometimes used the same forks for newer generations of frames.

I kept my old fork as a kind of tool afterwards. Filed off the "lawyers lips" and is using it for quick testing for play in reassembled hubs and similar.
