RIP Colin Davis
« on: 15 April, 2013, 09:24:04 am »
Colin Davis was the longest-serving principal conductor at the LSO. I remember him taking over the baton at the Last Night of the Proms when Malcolm Sargent died in the 1960s. He was always a lot less flamboyant than Sargent, whose nickname was "Flash Harry".

Colin Davis was just....just right.

I have a Sibelius 3 by him, which is and always has been the way Sib Three should go.
