An old handcycle

Hung in the rafters of Cambourne Mill on the Isle of Wight. Looks like it is powered by moving the handles alternately

From when I was a child I recall an old lady who had a similar kind of contraption, but covered with a black leather (?) apron.

That's exactly how I remember a local one I used to see as a small.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.
