Tesco are selling Banrock Station wine in flat recycled plastic bottles. I see this as having advantages:

you can carry two plastic bottles home for the same weight as a glass one
they fit sideways in the fridge door - so two bottles in the space of one

I would say these bottles will be a big hit for camping trips too

Only problem is that they contain Banrock Station wine...

Not when you have drunk them.

Why is Doom Bar pretty much ubiquitous? It’s quite a dull beer. I wish I’d bought something else now.

A while back, I learned that the only guinness brewed outside of Ireland is from Nigeria.
The landlord of my local was intrigued and ordered a load off of that amazon.
Anyway, that's what I'm drinking right now.

It's my go to 0.0 beer, tastes better than normal Doom Bar (not saying much) and far fewer calories than Erdinger which I put above the Leffe.

Miss von Brandenburg, who used to guzzle Hefeweizen to the nth degree back in the day, is most uncomplimentary about the Erdinger which has put me off trying it.

Copper Irish Stout extract can, 1kg soft brown sugar, 375g icing sugar, after fermentation complete racked onto 200g of roasted hazelnuts for a further 10 days.
