Decode of Tourist Info signs

Where can you find out what the symbols on the brown Tourist Info signs mean? The Oak Leaf symbol is National Trust and the square symbol resembling a castle tower is English Heritage. I've seen all sorts of other symbols but I've no clue what they are meant to mean other than the cutlery symbol depicting somewhere to eat. Where are the symbols listed?
